It exists to support our independent local journalism - and to share the newsroom expertise behind it.
We offer a small number of focused, PR and editorial services for organisations that want to communicate clearly, credibly and responsibly.
Fees from NFD Studio help fund the reporting you read on New Forest Dispatch, keeping it independent and accessible.
This is not an agency. We don’t do retainers, large commercial projects, or pay-to-play coverage - just thoughtful, senior support rooted in real newsroom and PR experience.

A focused 45-minute, one-to-one session offering senior PR and editorial advice.
Ideal for sense-checking a story or announcement, understanding how to approach the media, getting clarity on how to do your own PR (even if you’re new, unknown, or on a budget).
Online press office setup - £499
Creation of a clear, journalist-friendly online press page, helping media and stakeholders quickly understand who you are and how to contact you for PR opportunities.
Typically includes press page copy, SEO, media kit PDF, organisation overview or boilerplate, spokesperson bio(s), media contact guidance, social media bio tweaks.
Press release and ‘pitch’ writing - from £250
Newsroom-ready press releases or tailored email pitches written to be clear, accurate and genuinely useful to journalists.

A focused day of senior PR and editorial support, tailored to your priorities.

NFD Studio is led by Kerri L Watt, a senior PR Consultant and Journalist with 15 years experience supporting big name brands, small businesses, charities and public bodies with media strategy and press-ready communications.
